Course Overview and Objectives

The Stacy Murphy Pelvic PT Mentorship Program is designed to provide newer pelvic health physical therapists with comprehensive training and mentorship in the field of pelvic health. This program will cover a wide range of topics including how to use our knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the pelvic floor, common pelvic floor dysfunctions, assessment techniques, treatment strategies, and professional development skills and wrap it into a personalized evaluation and plan of care to turn each new client into a returning, excited, tell all of their friends, avid fan and follower throughout their seasons of life. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experienced pelvic health specialists and gain valuable insights into the top, new information from all the CEUs into best practices for the client in front of you, as you get to be a fly on the wall in an evaluation and follow-up sessions. Stacy takes the most important information from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Health series, Pelvic PT Rising and Sarah Duvall's PCES courses and applies it all to everyday clients for dysfunction you can easily evaluation, treat and discuss with your clients.

By the end of this program, participants will have a deep understanding of the pelvic floor and its role in overall musculoskeletal health and how to get patients to buy in to where your brain is. They will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess and treat a variety of pelvic floor dysfunctions, including urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and pelvic organ prolapse and turn it into fully clothed gym exercises. Participants will also develop their communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to provide effective care and support to patients with pelvic floor issues.

Included in this program, there is monthly mentorship calls, or if you're local to central Texas, in-person meetups where we can discuss, review/demonstrate your techniques and your complicated patients that have you stumped on the "next thing" to address.
